Stopping Griefers! (Protect)

[b] Hey guys can we come up with ideas to stop griefers? Should we protect our stuff? Two, Is it possible for you to protect good structures? Our huge creeper is already broken. Thank you

I know it's possible to do this, there are a few servers with protected areas, and you have to buy protected areas, but basically the admin puts your name and others if you wish on a certain size land, where only you and those others can add blocks or remove blocks in that area. I don't know what that mod/plugin is called but I know it exists for 1.4.1b

I think there is a plugin capable of that installed on the server already, possibly worldguard. I'm not sure.
